New to pottery? This is the easiest way to find out if you love it. Looking for pottery classes Asheville NC has to offer beginners? This is it. Over four Tuesday evenings, you'll learn the fundamentals of handbuilding, handling clay, smoothing slabs, adding texture, and making attachments, while creating functional pieces you'll actually use. No wheel, no pressure, just clay, your hands, and a relaxed studio evening. Bring your favorite drink and a friend if you'd like. This class is designed specifically for complete beginners, couples, friends, or anyone looking for a fun, creative evening out. It's fast-paced, joyful, and one of my absolute favorite classes to teach. No experience needed, just show up and enjoy the process. $250 per student Class Details: Tuesdays starting September 1st 4 weeks | 6:00–8:00 PM BYOB -- bring your favorite drink and enjoy the experience What You'll Learn & Make Over the first two weeks, you'll learn basic handbuilding skills, working with raw clay, smoothing slabs, adding texture, and forming simple shapes, while creating a small collection of functional pieces, which may include: Tapas plates Small wall pockets Bowls Vases Week 3: Glazing Creating a simple glaze plan Glazing your pieces and preparing them for firing Week 4: The Big Reveal Unloading the kiln Revealing your finished pottery Small Class, Real Support Classes are intentionally kept small (max 6 students) so everyone gets real one-on-one guidance and hands-on support throughout the session.
