Plays in Mud offers pottery classes in West Asheville, NC for all skill levels. Classes run 4, 6, or 8 weeks and focus on handbuilding, wheel throwing, and surface design. Whether you're picking up clay for the first time or ready to tackle advanced techniques, there's a class for you. All classes are held in our working studio at 735C Haywood Rd.

     All classes include tools, clay, glazes, and firings. Class sizes are kept small so every student gets individual attention.

     Our 4-week BYOB handbuilding classes are a low-commitment way to try pottery for the first time — bring a drink, get your hands in clay, and see if it sticks. Our 6-week classes offer more time to explore handbuilding, wheel throwing, or surface design. Our 8-week classes are for students ready to commit to a deeper practice in either throwing or handbuilding.
